GP `Dave,
14 miles is to close 2 home 4-Sure.
I've lived through the wild fires of Florida, but
the Mountain fires in your area looks like
Hell on Earth 4-Sure
On the Web there are some detailed pictures
of the fires in your area, and they are scary.
It's sad the loss of the firemen : (
It was such a beautiful area : (

OK

I'm gonna go get some scratch X and buff out my car. I want that mirrored showroom finish. Hey boys... do you think a victory red touchup pen from walmart will match my torch red color or should I get a specifically mixed torch red pen from an auto paint store?

Probably won't match perfectly Robyn, but, if all your doing is a few rock chips on the hood red is going to look better than nothing...if its for a scratch, I would buy the exact color for sure...

michael... there's more than a few rock chips. and then some light scratches on the fender that have gone white... means the clearcoat is scratched but the paint isnt. And i'm madder than hell, I got a windshield wiper blade that won't stay attatched to the motor arm.

Friday? Yesterday was my Friday, I don't have class on Fridays

Anyways, Space you asked what car I was looking at, well I'm looking at an '87 Toyota MR2 at the moment. I've been wanting something funner than the Monte for awhile and the MR2 is about 2000 lbs, RWD, and a 5 speed. Plus it's something that I can tear apart to try different fiberglass ideas. None of my buddies know what one looks like so I just tell them to imagine a door stop on wheels.

Well if you don't want your monte, send her to me. I'll take her.

GP Dave, 14 miles? Wow! I hate winter, but I'd rather have winter than the constant threat of wild fires and earthquakes. Hope you, Mia Joy, and everyone else is and stays safe!

Robyn, there should be some small tubes of torch red touch up available at some automotive store. Like a Pep Boys or someplace similar in your area. Torch red was a standard GM color.

I got a nice welcome when I got to my car this morning. I get in the car to find my rear view mirror hanging by the wire harness. Oh well. Gotta glue it back on now.

Haha, not gonna happen, I've got to have something to drive all year round.

The MR2 I'm looking at is about $1500, this year I'm getting about $2000 back in scholarships that is over what school costs me so it's more like the state is buying me a project car
