Member's Blog Poll
The daily blog is always something I read on a daily basis! If I have to go and find which page that day begins on I'll most likely quit reading it all together! I may not post to it daily but it's just something I read daily.

Hi Seattle `Mike,
Thank you for your post & poll.
.My intent, when I first created the MCF Blog was to bring our Monte Carlo Family together everyday for the reasons stated on the 1st page of our MCF `Blog
It was suggested by the Staff that we try a ongoing `Blog to see if it would increase activity by member's and that's where we are now.
We have had a lot of activity on the Blog since this has happened, but I think a poll like this should give all what is liked by the majority...
Yes, Nothing ventured, nothing gained and we will never know unless we keep trying to make it better for all.
I know that my life/job doesn't give me the opportunity to start the blog everyday & I was always thankful when we had a member to start our `Blog......Yes, it's our Blog! Yes, it is our Forum! Yes, it is our Monte Carlo Family!
I also know, that I could be shipped out at any time & not be in a position to get online for months @ a time and not be active on the MCF.
Thanks again Seattle `Mike, our active member's & also our great MCF Staff that continues to do everything they can to make this forum the best automotive forum on the World Wide Web...

I hope that more member's make positive suggestions to make our forum better 4-Sure...
"The MCF will only `be as good or bad as we the member's make it"
Ask not what the MCF can do for you, but ask what you can `do to make the MCF better"
to seeing the total results of the above poll & how many member's take the time to vote in the poll ? ?
Thanks `Mike & everyone that contributes to the MCF to make it better for `all

What do you suggest we try that is different ? (Please share)

Suggestions please ?
* It's sad to me `if it doesn't matter to a member & that they don't have an opinion. Yes, I'm learning in life that there are many that just take & never give anything back
, but they seem to be the first to complain & jump on the negative band wagon...I know, that's just life and the way it is ?, but it doesn't have to `be

I rarely post in it. But, I do feel like this would make your life quite a bit easier. Making a thread every day can be a chore if you get busy in life. Plus, this way, you can follow day to day events a little easier.....
For everyone that wants to skip to the current stuff, just choose the most recent page.
If you want to view from the first unread post, just click the arrow next to the thread name on the new posts view.
I think it's very convenient, and it will help keep the off topic section from being full of just daily blog threads.
Also, the meet and greets could be used in the meet&greet section of the forum, or a simple PM to a few members for a specific answer.
I think the continuous blog is nice. I often missed a lot of nighttime conversations, and would have to block quote and move things to the new daily blog if I was trying to answer someone's question from the last day. Or if I wanted a certain conversation to continue, we would bring the whole post over. This way it's all together, it's nice

Thanks `Mike for your post & valid points on how to use the features that are available to our member's to make things easier.
Thanks to all member's that have posted & contributed to making things better for `all...
I'm going to give it a few more days before I vote, but one thing I've always enjoyed are Space's inspirational words to start each day. Since I don't usually get on MCF until after 0800 CDT, it's easy for me to click on the beginning of a new thread to see what Space has to say for the day instead of having to dig a bit for it. It does get a bit tedious to find a specific point in a thread when browsing from a tablet like I do. I can see the merits of what others have said in favor of the continuous blog, but so far I do prefer the old way as it does seem simpler when browsing from a tablet.

IBForum has an app that I use on my phone that makes browsing very simple. You can even set it up to go to your first unread post
The app is called "IB AutoGroup"
