I think that a new members should be allowed to post one maybe two pics on their first blog. And if they have a question they need to know, maybe through the registration process, what info we need to give them the best possible answer to their question.
The reason we don't allow first time posters to post pics...
The forum has experienced a lot of Spammers posting unwanted things on the forum... This eliminates Spammers from posting anything on our forum that's un needed or uncalled for... I don't think our posting minimum is such a bad thing before they can post pics.... But our member are free to post pics in hopes of showing the new member what there talking about as well as the Fix!

I hope this answers your question...
Was just a suggestion. Sometimes, with inexperienced folks, it might be easier for them to explain if they can add a pic to their help explain their problem. My actual suggestion is to add a Howto section to the Registration so they are informed of how to blog and insert pics if need be.
I don't know about you guys But I have a little difficulty picturing "The Thingy under the Whatumacallit" in the engine compartment!
But I do understand to reasoning for the 5 post limit!

A stickied how to thread on how to use the forum's features sounds like it could be helpful to many. Thanks for the suggestion. These are the types of ideas Space was referring to. Ideas and suggestions to make MCF better.
MCF has constantly evolved over the years. To keep up with the needs of the members. Like adding sections, combining sections, changing the look and layout of the site, etc. Some ideas were a huge success, and some weren't. But we don't know unless we try them.
The staff have been using the same blog in the staff lounge for 3 years. It worked well for us. So we thought we would give it a try with the members blog. All we ask is give it a try for this month. If the majority of people like it, we'll keep it. If not, we can always go back to a new blog each day.
I should add that Space has been posting his usual first post of the day in the new blog. So for those who said they miss his first post of the day, it's still there.
We're always looking for, and trying, new ideas on MCF. We want to make MCF up to date whenever possible.

Oh I know it's still there Lou, I just have to dig for it more than I'm used to. Because of my fat fingers, it's easy to hit the link for the wrong page number even when I zoom in a bit. Not y'all's fault by any stretch, I just have fat fingers.

I think Space is losing it.
