Member's Blog Poll

What better way to find the major consensus of the members then to poll them? Test drive the new format for a couple of days, kick the tires then voice your opinion by participating in this poll. Comments are welcome but optional. :)

I think it works just fine both ways, but this is a more convenient way as no one has to start a new thread every day and makes it easier to continue a conversation in regards to the days events

I'm going to test drive it for a few days before announcing if I like it or not. Too soon to say

I agree 100%.

I see a bunch of people selected they don't like it, but no one posted a reason :confused::confused:

Feed back welcome.

What is not liked about a continuous thread?? I like that I can pick up where I left off, I don't have to chase an old blog, get the last updates (and hope someone doesn't post an update later to it) and then hit the new blog.
I also think this has a chance to better capture not just the present, but MCF past. If a new person comes in, they don't have to piece part the old blogs (if they are interested in any history), it's one thread they can read through or search.

Anycase, for those who don't like it, please share why.

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
I like how a new thread is the start of a new day.
And if any of you are like me, when i get on here, I click the new posts button and go through everything I haven't seen yet, so you guys are really blowing up going back to the old thread into a big deal its not, especially if you do what I do, you will browse right by it anyways

I voted no. Like Devin, new blog, new day. To me its just part of starting a new day. With one continuous blog days kind of blend together. and it becomes more difficult to sort through pages to see where you left off.

To many posts to go through to catch up on a daily basis to actually see what has been posted that day, in my mind. If I say hey Devin/anybody we still meeting up to do that photo-shoot today at 10am and it's a very busy day on the blog I may not see his response in time or I might miss it? Not a great situation/scenario but I think you get the idea? The blog averages maybe 25 - 40 posts a day and sometimes it's difficult to see everything going on?

It happens in the NASCAR picks thread also, if someone makes a change to their picks and doesn't let Duane know then it's difficult to catch up on when a member makes a change to his/her picks before the cut-off deadline for picks to be submitted........

:bang head:

The new format is fine with me, had no issues with the old format. Change is always hard, but go in eyes wide open & give it a fair try.

The one thing I see me not liking. Is if I'm not on for a few days when I'd go in the blog it would be 100+ post. It be a long read an if I'm getting on real quick at work I wouldn't be able to read through it. Also makes skipping a few days slightly difficult. Were as before you could just skip the old days you weren't on an go right to today.
But that's just what I might not like. I still haven't voted yet. Letting the test drive continue
