Well i just called and had the claim canceled. I going to spend some time and see if i can get the damage out myself. I know, i can get me another hood, but where is the fun factor in that? At least i can do most of the work myself and teach myself something new in the process.

HOLY HAIL!! $6500!!

Wow, hail damage sucks, I know that my moms car got it pretty bad, atleast white is probably the color that shows it the least until you get around to repairing it.

Bad news today, all the locals are booked up, so no oil change for brock. Which Ive been so busy with rapping up school and track it got to 3k miles already. Hopefully i can get a change in monday. I dont have the aknowledge to do it myself....

ello people!!

happy birthday TED!!!!

jj, not that this is going to help at all since you already canceled the claim, but i was also thinking last night that you could have had the shop write up the estimate at less than the value (that way the ins. co. wouldn't total it), but i don't know what the value is so i don't know if that would've done any good anyway. honestly you're probably better off trying to fix it yourself. good experience if nothing else!! did you take any photos of the damage?

i woke up this morning and came in the living room, the cat was sitting in the big picture window staring at something, ready to pounce. i looked around in the window and there was an enormous hornet, inside the house!! aahhhh!! i went and grabbed a can of hairspray and a can of febreze (i wanted to do its hair, and wanted it to smell good, haha no i just figured i'd hit it with both), shooed the cat out of the window and sprayed away...it took a good 15 seconds or so but it finally fell and i squished it with a paper towel. i have NO idea how it got into the house, but i'm glad it didn't sting my poor cat (or me!). yuck!!!

currently watching more of indy qualifying, though it rained earlier and they're still trying to get the track dried. it's my first full day of vacation so i really don't have any plans today. we leave tomorrow morning for the hotel. i really wanted to wash my car today, but it (again, of course) looks like and is supposed to rain. very excited for the nascar all-star festivities tonight!
