Mornin' all. I just spent quite a bit of time researching factory GM Monte Carlo pics to put together a new banner. Check it out:

Space, where did you get that nice pic of the 4th gen in your album? can you link me to it please?
Going to put the Intimidator up on jack stands today and pull the wheels and re-paint the calipers and paint the rear rotors. Do an oil change. The rears especially look like S__T! I bought some clay bar yesterday, and that's on the to do list, also. RJ is coming up next weekend for the Lane show, and I don't want his to look better than mine! LOL!
Anyone else going to the show?
Happy Birthday Rick!

Happy B-Day Ted.

Well Yesterday was a bitter-sweet day for me.

In the morning, i went to see a friend that manages a body shop and he started to do an estimate to see what i would take to get my back together again. He stopped at $3500 and said that the insurance co will most likely total out my car. CRAP!!!

So here is my dilemma. Do i proceed with the claim, and loose my car. Only to see how much money i can get for it and then turn around and try to buy it back. OR. Do what a member here told me to do. Just cancel the claim and try to get it fixed on my own. Again, over $3500 worth of damages.

I know that the car isn't worth much, but its still MY car AND, its a Monte Carlo. I have only 3 more payments left and I am not ready to get into another payment till next year.

That was the morning.

In the afternoon, we went to see the movie Star Trek. I LOVED IT!!! The graphics were incredible. I know that the story line deviated a bit, but who cares. Its a great movie to see. Even to the point that we are thinking of seeing it again in about a week.

So today we're going to do some more shopping and might even try to make it out the humane society and start looking for a cat.

That's it for now. My fingers hurt from typing so much.

I'm calling to cancel the claim.

Good morning from little old me.

There certainly is a lot of birthdays this month.

Happy Birthday Rick.

Or is it Ted?

JJ... Wouldn't it be easier to just find a hood and trunk lid from a junk yard, and paint them to match? It wouldn't get rid of all the hail damage and you would lose your hood graphics, but it wouldn't look as bad with the hail damage on the hood and trunk lid gone.

I was thinking of that and just take off the headliner and try to knock out a few of the dent on the roof. The sad thing is that every panel got damage and thats why its so expensive to fix.

Well since i am in the paint industry, i can start cashing in a few favors.

That sucks to hear JJ, i know what your going through my first monte carlo (black) got $6500 worth of hail damage... so i know what all these questions are that are going through your head.... if you can get it fixed or have someone in the industry that will help you out I would say go for it, I would have if I had those kinda connections good luck
