todd, i can't enjoy life, i'm to freaking high strung, i'm always on edge and never really sit back and just take it easy. the job is hurry and get it all done then take a break! i can never just go with the flow on anything? my boss is like a total flat line at work, he never shows any frustrations at all. i'm on the fast track to nowhere it seems, i've been that way pretty much all my life! i don't have an answer on how to just sit back and go with the flow of the game! kinda like getting a hundred yards in the first three quarters and then near nothing towads the end of the game! do you know what i mean????

Chris... I know exactly what you're talking about. Things in my life have gone from 0-100mph then back to a zero just as fast. There is never a happy medium for me, it's either okay, or all to hell. I have figured out that when my work life has gone to hell, my personal life starts to straighten itself out, and vice versa. Now that I looked at where I stand in the charting at work (I went from a ONE level to a FOUR level IN TWO DAYS... I get to keep my job I HOPE!), my personal life has once again come unglued thanks to my big fat mouth!!!
Todd... still heard nothing as to what's going on Friday. *sigh* Why can't he just either get a move on it or cheeze on a cracker give it up already? I mean, this is REALLY cruel at this point bcz it's NOT like he doesn't know how I feel.... I mean zack and I are REALLY close, we've told each other everything, and while I realize he has a lot on his plate and has suffered a lot of personal loss (Consul energy just sunk the foundation under his house that he still owes money on) this year... that's no reason to jeopardize our relationship. Or our friendship.
I mean why do people have cell phones if they don't return people's messages?

Good evening everybody!
I haven't posted in the daily blogs in a while. So much stuff going on in the background for me. But now that the calendar is done, I have more time to post like I want to.
As for the little rant on the first page...
Although her comments may have seemed like she was pushing it, she did keep it relatively clean. She could've gotten a lot more graphic, but didn't.
I know we tell people to keep the forum workplace and family friendly. But please keep in mind, this isn't Sesame Street. I'm not Big Bird, our little green guy (Space) is not Oscar the Grouch.
I would say our forum is more rated PG. Which is still a whole lot better than most other forums!
As a general rule, if there's someone whose posts you don't care to read, you can add that member to your Ignore List. It's in your User CP (link located at the top of the page). It will be in the list of settings and options.
Gotta head off to work now. G'nite everyone! :-)

I may be just 31 years old but I have lived extreme lows and highs. What I have learned is pretty simple. I can only control myself and what I do. That means waking up each morning with a positive thought. Instead of saying cr@p I have to get up I say, thank god I get another day. It may sound silly, but if you do it everyday then it starts to make a difference. You can't worry about your, job, house, or monte carlo. It is a material thing that comes and goes and can ALWAYS be replaced. Chris you will never learn to slow down and relax if you don't make it a priority. Is your daughter close by? If so instead of staying home, call her and see if she wants to go to starbucks and watch people. The point is just slowing your life down when you can.
As for being productive and feeling worthwhile at work, you have to create that as well. Ask for feedback on your job. Ask your boss what you are doing well and what you can work on. Don't get defensive if they give you something to work on. Look at it as a way to be a better person. I constantly get feedback about what I do wrong from the kids, and have to adjust. Take ownership of your life and job. the people in charge are the ones who ask the questions and improve and get noticed. Sometimes it was not meant to be and you move on.
As for relationships, use the suggestions above and always remember that you can only control yourself. Take it slow and let the fire burn. The more you press the more chance that you will drive someone away.
Hope this gives you some insight into my mind and what I am always trying to do.
Always remember things could be worse. You could be a steeler fan. LOL

Todd... I could kick ur BUTT for insulting my steelers. Eh, who cares, we're the laughingstock of the NFL right now. It's not so much of letting the fire burn, I think the fire done already consumed us. What is bothering me is that I am an individual who operates with integrity, and when people don't follow thru on what they say, it drives me crazy to absolutely no end. It makes me feel like I was not worthy enough of somebody to respect me, and it's not so much the respect, but I just have zero tolerance for that kind of stuff. And he KNOWS just exactly how it makes me feel because I laid it out there on the line and said when you do "This" it makes me feel "like this". No reading between the lines. I hate that stuff.
And i mean playing games when it comes to being serious with somebody, esp if you have no intentions? that's just wrong.
