Morning all.
Space, hope you get a chance to read this. We WILL miss you, but just be SAFE so we can get you back!!!
FRIDAY!!! 'BOUT TIME!
Hoping the weather is nice tomorrow for the Elgin meet. It's going to be a last minute decision for me as to whether I'm coming or not. I'll post in the daily blog what I'm doing either way.
Have a GREAT Friday MCF family!

TGIF!
DMV finally has my replacement vanity plates. See if I can get them today.
They've been on my cars & trucks for 31 years. I put them on hold after I sold the Hardbody.
Stretch is an old nickname from work back in the day.

Good morning forum!! It is currently 8:49 US Eastern Daylights Time, and I have already woken up, driven my Torino to a tire shop about 20 miles away to get a set of new BF Goodrich Radial T/A's mounted on it. I had breakfast at Bojangles, and am already back home and put my glamour rings and GT center caps back on. I have also gotten the mail and my certificate for MotM arrived!!!!
Here are my tires... they are 225 70 R14's, I took off a set 205 70 14's Good Year Light Foot's that were dry rotting and one of them was making the car thump due to it apparently having sat flat for a long time.. The 225 rides a little taller, and my speedometer was a ltitle fast. According to my dad's 18 wheeler, whom I followed up the interstate for 11 miles, at 55 mph I am now just 1 mph off, and at 65 mph my speedometer now shows 70. That's just the nature of cable driven speedometers though. O'well!
And here is my Monte of the Month certificate. Sorry, I'm not a teenage girl who knows exactly how to hold a camera and take a picture of herself. Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sorry at all for that.... here, deal with it.
The tire shop man is supposed to call me around 10:30 when the shipment comes in. Those BF Goodrichs were in stock and I was there when they opened to get them mounted, balanced, and installed. I've got two sets of Hankooks coming in, the Optimo H727's, both of them, a set for our minivan and a set for the Monte Carlo. Pretty busy day. Maybe I'll post a picture of the Hankooks and a review of them when I get them on.

They spent their last 21 years on a Nissan pickup and got fairly beat up. I applied for duplicates to get newer plates and put them on the Monte. DMV opens at 8 (95 minutes to go). I'll slip in and see how long the line is this morning.
