MC "NOT" A Muscle Car
#21
As the past VP of a Chevelle club. We only allowed Chevelle's from 1964 to 1972. BECAUSE......Those were concered "CLASSIC MUSCLE CAR'S." Not that the Newer Camaro's or the newer Dodge Challenger or the Hemi Dodge Charger's are not fast. Their just not CLASSIC MUSCLE Car's. Not trying to slam anyone. After 1972 the Muscle car's were so DETUNED it's was sicking. Monte Carlo's Were a Luxury Sport. Even tho they shared a lot of things with the Chevelle's back then. Motors & Trim. Even the dash boards & Console's were the same in some. Some of your Mustang's and Cuda's were considered Pony Car's. Not Muscle car's. Cause they had smaller motors. Not trying to anger anyone. But that's the way they list it. It is what it is. Sorry.

All Montes are 2-door aren't they? Therefore, they can't be called a sedan.

Copied from dictionary.com
sedan- an enclosed automobile body having two or four doors and seating four or more persons on two full-width seats
Coupe -a closed, two-door car shorter than a sedan of the same model.
I agree with Taz if there gonna let other cars from the same platform in why not all of them.

i have this book that i bought for $5 called "Classic Muscle; The Evolution Of The American Musclecar" Chapter 9: Revival & Rebirth: "Twelve years after Chevrolets's SS 454 Monte Carlo faded from the scene a new Monte Carlo SS was introduced in 1983, just in time to begin a long reign as NASCAR's winningest competitor. On the street, the Monte Carlo SS was among the hottest things running in the mid-'80s. This 190-horsepower high output 305-cubic-inch small block V-8"
