Manual or Automatic Transmission ?

I like manuals - but anymore, for everyday driving the automatic is just more convenient, especially in Winter. I'd like to have an older muscle car with a stick for fun driving but I'll still keep the auto for everyday.
But I have a Sport mode in my Kia so I can shift it up and down when I'm so inclined.

Depends. Rush hour traffic makes me glad to have an auto, but since that isn't too often, I would much rather have a manual. Good gas mileage, choose when you shift, blah blah blah, I like it because it's just more fun.

I'd say manual for a fun weekend car, but auto for a daily driver. I've only driven manual enough just to learn it quick. Never really drove manual for a long time, i'd like to though. Some traffic i get hung up in would be hell with a manual.

I haven't owned a manual for over 20 years until I got the Mustang. I can say that I really enjoy it in that car. It is fun and gives you the sense of a real muscle car. But if it was something I drove everyday it would get tiresome. I have had that car 4 months and only put about 800 miles on it. Now that its winter, it will get even less. So no more than I drive it, it suits me just fine..
By the way, I chose manual..

I like that the manual is more "economic", from what I hear. I never driven a manual but once, I bombed. But I would like to drive one but I have heard some complaining. Much of the stuff you guys have mentioned. But I am content with my AUTOMATIC. Like you all said, it is a lot easier, but isn't manual a lot of fun.

Manual.
Even if the car is a 4 banger econobox a stick shift feels zippier to me.
And I loved the brapp-rummble-ummble that my old Firebird 3.4 5 speed with Flowmasters made on downshifts.

Automatic cause there is too much traffic in my area. My Stang has auto trans but has manual mode. I also had manual mode on my Mini Cooper (auto stick) and that was a blast to drive. It had paddle shifters and you could also use the gearshift.
