I sort of agree. At first I was saying that it would be too dated to do another G8 - too unoriginal. Then I saw that pic 'Space posted and started thinking like you Taz. The G8 sold reasonably well - not big numbers, but not a waste of time either.

Would anyone on these boards give serious consideration to buying one of these SS's? I kinda think that I'm the definitive target market demographic, but I would not consider one of these. But would anyone else?

Hi `Brent,
I'm not inclined to purchase a 4 door sedan, but I'm hoping that they will produce/make a coupe...

I'll really like to have the Holden Yellow Malo R 8 (3rd & 4th down pic's)

G8 sold well cuz it had a V6, V8 & LS3 this new SS will be V8 only with no trim levels so theres no way itll sell like the G8 did i read they only plan on selling 3000-5000 a year which is a waste , but after looking at the Commador im not a fan

Well also remember that they are pretty much bringing this car in for Nascar. I'm glad they are building a RWD family car v8. It's been a while since we had dedication to that platform.

I'm happy to see it, and I hope it does well

But would you buy one Chibi?

I like the idea too, but not the execution. I'd choose a Charger first. Or 300. Maybe a Genesis. They are attractive powerful RWD sedans. And like Mike sorta points out, the others have more options...

That Malo thing looks pretty cool. I don't know why GM keeps holding back on that. I think it would do better than the sedan and not compete with other GM models. Nobody has anything to compete with that Malo, so its a cornered market...

I'm a coupe man. So I wouldn't buy one for me.

I will take a look at them with Jenna when the time comes to buying her a new car, but she is leaning towards the ATS

Nice choice! I forgot to mention the ATS! I think most people looking for performance do will choose a coupe over the SS - another reason the SS is so lame in concept...

ATS would be better if it had a V8 option, it gets expensive once u add options, most ppl who buy high performance sedans go with BMW, Mercedes & Audi so itll be a tough sell, they shpuld called it an Impala & made the V8 a SS version & ditched the new fwd one they got coming out

Truthfully we are leaning towards the ATS because we can get it with the same v6 that will be in my Camaro. This will have me very familiar with working on both cars.
