I Need Me Some Education
I stared at that post for I know atleast a whole minute.. I'm slightly dislexic... I thought seeeing the same thing over and over had screwed my tired eyes up!!!
If you get an iPod ... you need a MAC and iTunes to Program your Music and Upload your music from the iTunes Program bundled with other software standard with iMac Computers.
The MP3 is Windows based and gets uploaded from a PC.
You'll have guite a bit more versatility and enjoyment with your music stored on an iPod.
Plus, the iTunes Program allows you to Burn a CD for Road Tunes a whole lot easier than MP3 Music Programs.
I'm just getting used to having a MAC. I'm up to speed on the Music and Movies part ... but, still on the front-end of the curve learning how to resize photos for submission to Web Sites and attachments.

Burning CD's with Nero is easier than anything out on the market and has many more options, such as gapless playback.
Music bought on Itunes can only be played via Itunes\ipod
Macs, btw, are over priced PC's. I have gotten the new Mac OS on my PC through some hacks, and honestly, I find windows XP much better to my taste. but thats just me.
Everyone and their mother has an iPod. I would get a zune just to feel like a rebel lol, plus it's rumored they are going to make them syncable with 360's. That and being in the IT profession, I do not like Apple. Mac's are to PC's what AOL was to ISP's, they hand feed you everything and take away your choices in hardware and software, which is great if your clueless.
WTF?!?! Where do some people get their info.
I'm an iPod fan all the way and will never change (unless Apple really drops the ball which they are not known to do.)
IPod plays the MP3's as well as numerous other formats. I got a Gen4 4Gig and love it, not anywhere near to filling it up, I use it to DJ and connects to my Alpine headunit.
It connects to my XP laptop and I got most of my tunes from Limewire or had them emailed to me. (by the way I own the music on cd already or purchase it shortly afterward)
