well i just did a vin number look up just to see what is what. well i have a rarity the vin said it is a ls but it came with every thing that a lt did exept for the traction controlls and the volume controlls on the stering wheel. i always thought it was strange it didnt have that and having the dealer switch out my dual climat controls like that to the ls model like that was wiered. but now i know it is a ls unfortuneitly i thought it was a ls due to what the paper work as in the window sticker said and what it came with as well. the 17 inch aloys rims the dual climatand the auto start function as well. well i can say it is a rarity

 

 

the window sticker said it was a lt and it came with majority of the items of the lt the trim level. as in the trim in the car different shifter cover the silver out lays around the radio things like that the auto down and up on both windows. the better radio able to read mp3 and also able to have a i-pod or a mp3 hooked up to play it on the radio. it came with the 17 inch aluminum rims on the car when i looked up the car it stated what came with it to verify the window sticker. it came with those items but no amps stereo volume controlls on the stering wheel and no compas but it came with auto start and key less entrey. thats why i was wondering what it was i think it is a rare monte. i hope it will stay with me for a long time do to the items that came with the car like the auto start the keyless entry the intereor trim the rims i use to have but stolen do to the new tires i put on the rims. it is wiered that a ls came with all of these things i am kind of baffeled that a ls came with these items

 

unfortunitly the dealer has to state what the car is but i geuse they thought it was a lt because it came with the lt baging and all the options and it stated it on the window sticker. but the compas the extra clock and the volume controlls on the stering wheel it didnt have. i am guessing i have a trully unique monte carlo do to what it came with from the factory

 

I think I know somewhat your pain... or at least your confusion. My GMC is technically an SLE packaged truck, the window sticker says it's an SLE but the badge on the back of the cab say it's an SLT. The only difference between my truck and a "real SLT" is mine doesn't have OnStar.

For those not in the know the trim levels on the GMCs are SL SLE SLT, simular I guess to Chevy's LS LT and LTZ.
