I crashed my Monte

That sucks. It could have been worse though. At least no one was hurt.
Not that I'm trying to come down on you for driving crazy (Lord knows I've done my share), but I am going to share your story with my stepson. Every time I hear of a "bad" accident, I make sure and tell him about it. He isn't quite old enough to drive, but it's never too late to start sharing stories to make sure he knows what can happen. I always show him pictures of the accidents and explain to him what happened and why.
A guy I used to work with just lost his eighteen year old grandson because he was driving crazy. There is a new overpass in the town that they live in, and the kids try and do a "Dukes of Hazard" on the crown of the hump on it. They do 90 miles an hour in town, on one if the busiest streets to get enough speed to try and get air on the overpass. The problem is (other than 90 in a 35 zone) is that there is a small blind hill with a stoplight right before the start of the overpass. He was doing 90 and came to the top if the hill to find a car stopped in front of him at the red light. He jumped on the brakes and went into oncoming traffic, hitting the stopped car in the process. The car rolled and hit a cement wall, and the kid was ejected from the car. He died about four hours later at the hospital.
I guess that;s what happens when you give a new Mustang to an eighteen year old and don't teach them about what can happen if they do not treat it with respect and understand what can happen.
No one is bulletproof. I wish more kids today realized that.

#1, by far, NO ONE was injured seriously (if at all).
#2, No matter how good it may look, don't be surprised if you have a good amount of suspension issues that result.

I definitely have learned that I am not bulletproof by far. I really should have known better than to drive like a maniac, especially since both of my parents are on the ambulance service and I have also been trained as a first responder. I took a few pictures of the damage to the car today, but I will take some more pictures of the ditch I was in when I can. Thankfully I have full coverage insurance and Progressive will pay for it all including the towing after I pay a $500 dollar deductible.
A front view
Picture of the bumper and hood gap
Lower grill is damaged
It's a little hard to see but the radiator was pushed back almost to the engine
Upper radiator hose
Another shot of the radiator
It took two tow trucks to pull it out, I didn't watch them pull it but it was a pretty steep ditch. Ill take pictures of the ditch tomorrow.

Progressive
Not a fan when I was the victim of an auto accident and they tried to screw me every which way.
Best of luck getting things fixed right. Make sure the suspension is looked over!

Well Progressive looked at the car today and said that it's a total loss. The repairs would cost more than $5,100 so it's more than the car is worth sadly.. I think they said they will give me 4,800 if I let them keep it or they'll give me 3,600 if I want it back. If I take it back I would try to sell it for maybe 1,000 or 1,500 but I don't know what we'll do. Right now it looks like I'm going to have to take the money and give them the car, thus getting a new one The damage must have been a lot more than what we could see. I sure am going to miss her..
