Hey everyone, so about 2 weeks ago my mom got rear ended in her challenger which is in the body shop. Today we went to the beach in Impala we got as a rental. On the way home some girl pulled right out in front of us out of a parking lot causing us to hit her. She was looking right at us and just kept on pulling out we tried to get over in the left lane to miss her but she just kept on going. It just amazes me at how some people get there license.

 

That sucks! Who did the cops find at fault? Without being there and just reading the description, I can see it go either way:
- Girl for the obvious, needing to check more clearly
- You guys for seeing she was pulling out and seeing she was not stopping, not taking appropriate "defensive action".

Like I said, not being there, not seeing it, just curious. When pulling out, people do need to exercise caution (and when seeing other drivers need to realize when to yield).

I'm waiting for my Monte to go into the body shop at the moment. It was victim of a hit-n-run while at the GM Nats.... I have not driven it anywhere since getting it home (and it's irritating the crap out of me, I only drive it in the summer and I'm loosing awesome summer weather).

 

my theory: 1/4 of the drivers dont have their lisence. I know a few people who never bothered to get theres and drive around. im sure a lot of people do the same.

She was at fault. We had several witnesses talk to the cops. We were already way to close to her as she was pulling out. There was literally no time to take any defensive action. We were maybe 25 feet away doing 55MPH if that tells you anything. And I'm sorry to hear about your Monte. Seems like we have had a ton of wrecks on the forum recently.
