ive been all self taught open the hood and see wat i can figure out and make sure i can remember were i disconnected it at my fathers lucky he can still get gas in the damn thing

My knowledge came from a few different sources. I took auto repair in high school, I worked close to fifteen years in a salvage yard taking them apart. Lots of trial and error, and repair manuals.

Learned basic maitnance from my dad,a little from uncles and grandfather,but since i dont like to spend money(unless on the montes mods

) im learning to do everything myself. Plus i have pretty much completly taken apart quads,dirtbikes,sleds i know some stuff and motors lol

necessity is a good point Duane made. I have almost always had older vehicles that always need repair When a part costs 30 bucks I just can't see paying someone 200 to put it on.

You can make some of the member's happy some of the time, but not all the member's happy all of the time

Yes, I did think of multiple choices, but then we
would just have a lot of different #'s in the poll & not many posts by member's. ?

Without multiple choices, it encourages member's
to make a post & enter their experiences working on the vehicles
that they own or owned, or working on family & friends cars/trucks/etc.

Taught myself, cars were and r my biggest hobbie, no one in my entire family gave a damn about cars but since 12 i could name every car, its engine, its year, and i spent sum summers breaking and fixing my own cars to better incline my mechanical skills, this ill pass to my kids for sure

My Dad had 1 1963 Buick special with an engine compartment the size of a walk in closet. He would set me (age 5 or so) on the fender with my legs dangling into the engine compartment. Hand me a handfull of tools and ask me to hand him the one he needed. After much teaching I learned to anticipate the one he needed.
