Default Hit a deer with the Monte

Just a little while ago, 6:45 to be exact, I hit an 8 or 10 point buck with the monte. I was driving on the highway doing between 50-60mph when the thing ran in front of me and the car next to me. The car in the slow lane clipped it and knocked it off its feet and into my lane. I ran it over and the damn thing launched my car in the air Dukes of Hazard style. I pulled off the road and looked at the car to see the damage. I didnt see anything so I drove to my work and put the car on the lift. My front bumper cover is cracked way down low where you cant even see it. My fog light brackets are toast and one light is burnt out. A few wire loom hangers were broken but I replaced them. It tore the air deflector off the bottom of my bumper cover and broke a hanger off my exhaust. That was all the damage I saw. You cant even tell anything happened with the car on the ground. I will need a new air deflector. Im going to leave the cover alone because you cant see the crack. The fog lights needed replaced anyway so I dont care about that. Tomorrow I'll weld the hanger back on and order the deflector. After the whole ordeal I drove to the grocery store and back home without any problems. Everything seems ok so I guess I lucked out. Powerball is 250 million so I played it for sure, lol.

My thoughts exactly. The car must be a tank to survive that. There was half a deer worth of hair stuck under the car. The thing even hit the gas tank and didnt even dent it.

Glad no one was hurt. Sucks for the deer.... I hope it passed quick.

Sounds like you lucked out on the car front too.

Wow, I was really starting to get afraid when I opened this thread. I'm glad everyone is okay and the Monte is doing fine. Your Monte has to be the cleanest LQ1 Monte out there.

Thanks guys. Yeah everything worked out OK thankfully. Just a little bit more I will have to do to it when I take it off the road here soon. Just waiting for paperwork on a winter beater grand am.
