I know it's still very early. But the writing is on the wall. (or marquee sign, whichever you prefer)

With the price of gas nearing $4/gal I may have to set at home come the end of june. And the Monte Nats.

2008 when gas was $4/gal here. It cost me close to $100 to travel to Greensburg, PA. And I believe York is another 4 hours further. Okay, in '08 I got home and had gas in the tank. I doubt that will be possible coming home from York.

I've slwoed down... used to run 70-73 or so in 65 mph zones on the interestate... down to 65 on the button now, picked up about 2 mpgs too!!! Plus, I've been taking off without going over about 2000 rpm for a long time. I can get as high as 30 mpg with my synthetic oil... on regular gas!!

I get gas mileage on my Torino too... I get 12-13, worst is 11, best around 14.5 once. Most people at car shows don't even get near 10!

Yeah, gas prices are pinching everyone. I'm near Cleveland Ohio and I believe York PA is about 6 hours away from me. I'm really looking forward to the Monte Nationals and figure, gas prices won't be getting any better.... So I'm making a "go" of it this year.

gas price suppose to get up to $5 here in chicago very soon. im paying $4 for my pos honda dd. the monte carlo is in storage since last year. i don't know how much premium cost now since i haven't drove it in awhile. i use mid octane for the ta so i don't really pay attention at the pump, until when i get inside the car and start up the car. after the car is start up i SCREAM OMG FOR $20 IS THAT ALL I GET JUST A LITTLE OVER 1/4 OF A TANK! i love driving my cars so what ever it takes or cost to fill up my cars to go from point A to B i will not stay home or take an alternative ride to get to my designation.

`Duane (CowBoy), that super MPG's 4 Sure with your Monte, and very Super Poor on your Torino

You must have great driving discipline to get that average, I hope I can learn to slow down & save some fuel = $'s.
========================================
I think the price of fuel is going to affect Everyone & I hope/pray that the prices come back down..

I hope powerful Muscle or Monster cars are not going to be relic's of our past It will sure mess with my future dreams of owning/driving one.

I'm getting great gas mileage with my 05 - about 21 mpg in the city (more like country driving but I never drive on the highway). I really only try to drive to and from work, to and from my dads house and to the grocery store. I'm also trying to keep the miles down on my Monte cause who knows when I will be able to afford to replace this car with a lower mileage one.

I haven't really calculated my mpg, I just put more in when I get low! Put $30 in the other day and only got a 8.5 gallons! I put less than 12,000 miles a year on my car, not much when I only got to work and back and a few little stops here and there!
