I am thankful I live in a country where I can worship Jesus Christ openly as my Lord and Savior.

Three weeks ago our Pastor asked if I give testimony infront of the congregation on the third sunday before Christmas. Since it snowed Church was cancelled last sunday. During this past week I got a phone call from out Pastor asking if I would still give testimony and when finished light all 4 of the candles.

I almost had myself talked out of doing this. Fear of speaking infront of others was the reason I was giving. But I speak infront of 30 people 5 days a week at work. So what was the problem doing this at our small Church?

I just hope I did a good job. The greatest thing I can be thankful for is that God gave His only son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for my sins.

A big AMEN to that also, from the other side of the state (of confusion). This has been a hard year for us, losing my son back on Mar 1. I lost my 13 year old daughter 15 years ago. We will be home, just the 2 of us for Christmas this year. Last year my son was with us for Christmas, and THAT was a WONDERFUL Christmas gift last year.
I know in my heart, that because of the ultimate gift of salvation that God gave to us, by sending His son to live on earth, and die for us, by accepting Jesus Christ as our savior, that we will be together again with our family someday again in Heaven.
My gifts this year are not only the Solstice GXP I just got my wife, but I also took guardianship of my handicapped sister this October, and put a bunch of money into her house to keep her from going into a nursing home. I'm thankful that I can spend the weekend after Christmas with my family. My Mom is almost 89, and Dad will be 91 on Jan 1. I'm thankful that they taught me the morals that I have, and that I'm back in church and have a church family this year.
Thank you God for sending your Son to us, and that we can celebrate that day freely.
Merry Christmas to ALL of you, and may God bless you all on this special day, AND your families, too.
It nicely refreshing to see people thanking God who haven't just scored a touchdown or won the world series.

I too thank God for all He's done for me and everyone around me. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for a lot of help from Him. Sorry forthe loss of your daughter and son. This time of year remindsme of the painful battlewith cancer mymom lost on new years eve when I was 5 years old (31 years ago). I'm not bitter or anything. Just trying my best to see her once again when I pass on. Hopefully many years from now.

Merry Christmas to you Wayne, and to everyone. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Edit: Sorry for the re-post Space. Your pic didn't show up on my computer the first time. But I see it there now.
