Default It's back!!!

Finally!! After a LONG wait and 3 times telling the body shop the car was not right, we have victory!!! The car looks right again!!

It's been a busy evening, I sadly have no pics. Even though they cleaned it, I think it still could use a fresh interior/exterior cleaning. But it's BACK! I was beginning to think I didn't own a Monte anymore lol!

Well, I thought we were good. Between last night and today found two issues I resolved (minor) and thought "ok, we're good", then I washed the car....

The "reconditioned" bumper cover has a flat spot around the headlight area that disrupts the body line on the car.

I left my insurance agent (who recommended this shop) a voice mail stating I am not blown away by their attention to detail. I really wanna tell my agent, how about I take it else where at this point.

And I left the body shop a voice mail informing I will be driving it to them after work tomorrow.

Don't get me wrong there are worse things in life (such as my basement that flooded a couple weeks ago and worse things beyond that), but I am really feeling this summer is sucking. I'm not happy with it being a "Monte-less" summer due to a situation beyond my control.

Ha another Monteless brother out there. This blows, we lost most of the good weather for sure.

Good for you by standing your ground with the body shop. You know they just flash bang most people who don't see the flaws. Probably not too often they encounter the owner who goes over the repair with a fine tooth comb. Hey if they could not do it right they should not have took the job is how I look at it. They can go do the low dollar easy cheesy repairs and leave the quality work to those who really care. Cool you have her back, hopefully this repair can be done in a weeks time. Good luck!!

So Saturday, got the Monte back again. Had to correct some loose hold down nuts and found again, more wrong with the car. Left my insurance agent a voice mail expressing I am done working with this shop. It's taking them too long to resolve these issues and I have been without the car almost all summer as a result.

My agent called me today, Danny's Custom Touch is officially FIRED from my Monte! My insurance company is making plans with me to get it to a shop known as Frankie and Dylan. I found a few friends and family have used this shop happily. I have high hopes.
