good and bad

i hope to get lasik sometime in the near future. i have wore contacts for 20 years and glasses for about 32 years and im getting tired of it. As for the wet basement good luck getting the problems worked out. I work for a water restoration company and this year has been horrible on people. we had a few customers that flooded 3 or 4 times in a row because there was so much ground water and rainfall so fast.

Thanks guys. The eyes are doing well. As they docs said, some fluctuation, but still very good. It feels so weird to not wear glasses and still see!!
Well, I heard that my county is trying to file for disaster coverage (which causes FEMA to step in):

Regardless if my wife or I stay in this home, we need to make efforts to attempt to resolve these problems or minimize them with soaking our basement.

The saga continues. Car was supposed to be ready today. Looked it over (and checked a couple items I forgot to check last time). The biggest issues right now:
- Headlights are not lining up with the fenders
- A plastic piece towards the bottom, under the bumper cover is still broken and 3 fasteners for the bumper cover are missing.
The guy I was talking understand and wants it right. He said the guy working on it must have been an idiot to not notice that plastic piece while the car was apart.

Luckily I have not had to get angry or "ugly" with this shop. I am pretty easy going but missing screws AND a piece that is still damaged and should have been found? Eh, I'm just feeling like details that should have been obvious are being missed. It's getting a little old.

I know how you feel. I had to take Mine back 3 timesand wait there the third time to find out I had a bad coil! They told me it was done. They didn't notice the engine running Very rough or trying to stall when the gas was applied? I feel your pain!

Well, yesterday I got a call for the third time that my Monte was done. I went and looked it over, all items are resolved BUT....
The dang headlight fitment is STILL not right!! Each time I've looked at it and there is something wrong with how the headlights fit.... They believe they will have them fixed by today....

Called the body shop at 4pm today. The owner answered. In speaking with him, he said he worked on the headlights last time and is working on them this time. To fix part of the problem, he has the bumper cover off again.
Still no ETA. I'm hoping this is put to rest soon, so I can finally enjoy something about this summer and put the hit-n-run behind me once and for all.
