GM Nationals

I've seen some people tape off the front bumper to keep bugs off.I think they use that blue painters tape not to sure.
I go down for the performance an style in may.All we did wash wash before hand an spot clean as we went. But that was with the Jess's cavi an that burnt orange hides a lot of dirt.
This is going to be my first GM nationals.Just hoping to have the monte for it.

Usually I have all of my detailing products with me in the car (minus the random orbital). I can give you a little demo on the show field!

Honestly, I'm lazy and don't care about winning tropheys, I went to the car wash with the rest but never cleaned off the water spots, no detailer stuff or tire shine, so my car was pretty filthy on the show field.
I spent more time walking around the show, talking to others (although no matter how many I talk to I never seem to see everyone I know) taking pictures (That takes up most of my time, eating and drinking water.
Although this may not be the biggest event at carlisle, there's always a lot to see and do...
The best advice I can give is just have a good time, make lotsa good memories, those are worth more then the trophies and plaques to me anyways....
The NYMCC goes to the 1/8 mile track friday night, then Red Robin after. Saturday morning we hit the car wash, do the show, watch the burnout and bikini contest, regroup back at the hotel, hit the Co-Karts and eat at the hotel afterwards, Sunday we do breakfast and head home...Like I said take it all in, cause it goes by supah fast!

I didn't even show my car last year. I really don't care about the trophies or anything either. My paint isn't that great since it was my DD and has so many miles. Plus I go to car-shows all year with the 68 Camaro.
I just like to hang out with everyone

I don't expect to win anything either (I don't feel my car is pristine enough and even though it gets parked during the winter, she get's driven, she's not a garage queen).
BUT, if I'm going to enter her in a show, I at least want to ensure my car is as clean as I can reasonably make her. I take a lot of pride in my ride. There is NO sense to me in showing a dirty car (I can see plenty of those on the road ways).
And Mike, I've told you before, for your Monte's age and mileage, she's an impressively sharp ride! She coulda show up a couple of rides I saw at the GM nats that were newer and less miles. Completely worth showing! I hope you'll be showing her off at this year's event!
