I honestly don't think I'm going to go that route on my monte. I definitely want something to go back in- but its not going to be anywhere near what it used to be. Back when I bought my amps and subs, I worked at a small sound shop. I got the one amp for 'dealer demo' price, and I got the subs and other amp at dealer cost. I couldn't justify spending that kinda money again.
Plus, the other bad thing is- I got to the point in modding the sound system that I wouldn't ever turn it up hardly at all in town, didn't go to any local competitions, etc- the only time I would really enjoy it was traveling far from home, and driving way out in the country when no one was around.
The other thing is that my priorities have changed quite a bit since I put that old system together- back then I was really into sound systems, and I only wanted to build the car for that purpose. Now that I'm more into performance, I don't want to add all the weight or anything like that.
I think I'm going to use the opportunity to change it around into a cleaner looking, more show oriented setup that I can remove fairly quickly for the track. My thought is to incorporate some kind of locking mechanism so that its not also easy for thieves to quickly get away with it as well.
I guess we'll see- I still have all kinds of main speakers left- 8 6.5" external crossover coaxials and 2 6.5" Polk Db's that were slated to go in the trunk in a trunk lid fiberglass project. I may end up splitting the speakers up among my other cars, and just do something a little more tame.

Good point. Honestly though, I've only went WOT with the 4.0" pulley it came with, and it seemed very quiet. I don't know if its the fact that the exhaust is much louder than on my old GTP, and was drowning it out- or if the whipple really is that much quieter. I have noticed that in the vids on youtube that the whipples seem much quieter than the kenne bells. Maybe it'll be time for a cog drive then

Really it's your toy car, it doesn't even need a radio, or at least doesn't even need a good radio.
And I would have thought that the whipple would have a nice little whine to it since it can spool so much more

Congrats on the house, I just got one too lol
And you probably couldn't hear your supercharger because of the exhaust. Mine's pretty hard to hear, because of my exhaust, and I think your exhaust is set up like mine. (3" with a muffler)
