Gas Prices....

The price for 87 octane around here is hovering right around the $3.69 mark. I paid $3.89 last weekend when I filled up. Unfortunately we have some of the highest gas prices in the Nation. Every year they shut down all but one of the refineries at the same time for maintenance, and the remaining refinery has a fire. Kinda 'funny' how that pattern repeats itself. The result is soaring gas prices.

I just hate the huge price difference between regular and premium nowadays.
It used to be either 5 or 10 cent increments as the octane went up. Now I see premium basically 40 cents more than regular.
Some gas stations only have regular listed... the price could be like $3.19, I pull up, go to pump premium and it's almost $3.79!!!!

There was a place like that in Lawton, Oklahoma. 103 octane. You could REALLY tell the difference in my car. The problem was, the nozzle was too big to fit in the filler neck. You had to bring your can, put the gas in the can, then put the can in the car. It was a process, but worth it.

I don't recall how much premium was last time I filled up. Probably about a week or two ago now. 87 which is what I use in the truck was at about $3.37 a few days ago. when I put a few bucks in yesterday it'd went up to $3.45 i think

saw 3.27 on my way in, i always toss in midgrade(89) in the monte, no it doen't call for it but i go to a gas station that sells it for the same as low grade(87) why not have that little better octain to combat any kr that may be in the car stock

I know this is partially off topic, but for my truck (I never let my car get below half) when its getting low if I have the money I'll fill it it genrally takes me $92 from close to empty. With the gas prices being roughly $3.45-$3.80 I'd guess. Just a guess not 100% sure. Until the last couple of years all I owned was cars. When I started driving gas was $4.20 a gallon. From totally empty my friend filled his 02 Ram and he said the highest it'd cost him was $120 ouch I can't complain at $90ish to fill the truck anymore. When premium was $3.99 it cost me roughly $60 to fill my Monte with 15 point sumthing gallons. Its ridiculous but I've gotten over it. Me and the fiance have been researching, and we think in a couple years (1 year n 7 months about) at the shortest 1 year. That we are going to get a Duramax LB7 (yes I know of the injector issues) and sell her car and she'll keep my old truck! I was suprised she wanted it since shes a car girl, anyway diesel cost more so I've been just enjoying the best I can the cost of gasoline while I still have a gas truck.
