Tin dollhouses from the early years - $1000 (Pittsburgh)
From your pics it looks like the kind of stuff my folks played with when they were kids. I think that even at 1000.00 it is a steal. You've got to market it correctly to get some decent money out of it. I have watched that show American Picker on the History Channel and the old tin cars start at fifty bucks and that is in really rough shape. Your stuff doesn't look that bad. American Picker is actually Antique Archaeology and they may be interested in your stuff. I found their number on the internet and I would say from their site it would be worth a call. Their number is 563-289-1530. It is a start. I would continue searching the internet. I am sure you may find other dealers too that would make a fair offer. You might also check with a pawn shop or two. I googled antique dollhouse and got lots of hits and some of these things are worth big bucks. One page listed the prices starting at 200 up to 15,000.. I think it would be in your best interest to make some phone calls and research this some. Wouldn't it be cool if you got enough to buy another Monte or something big like that.

Thanks Gregg for you response and detail, I'm gonna wait for a little while on selling them. I know you know your stuff on pretty much everything, you have a good knowledge for all things older, sorry for making you feel old but you have experience with all things considered..... I've seen all those shows and I'm waiting and trying to find the "diamond in the rough" with all the stuff my parents and all of us kids have collected, pulled out of the garbage etc. over the years...Thanks

edit: I'm a low level hoarder from what I've seen on TV.....

Thank you for your kind words. You give me more credit than I am due. I just try to think things out before I speak. I'm not really that old. Rick is the resident old guy. Sorry Rick. Lol. I turn fifty in April. I was just born at a unique time. I was born during a time when people cared about being moral and cared about their fellow man. A time when people valued people and also cared for what they acquired. I have also seen all this go away which is sad. From an early age I appreciated what was old even if it wasn't the populat thing to do. As an example I graduated high school in 1983. My peers were listening to Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Metallica and the like. I was listening to Glen Miller, Steve Miller, ELO, Barbra Streisand, and Johnny Mathis and Motown. I think you are making the correct choice.

It is now officially Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas everyone. This is the last shopping day. Be careful if you are out shopping be careful. The crazies will be out. I have been home from work for about half an hour. I am going to try to roll over and go to sleep. Good night everybody.
