Default First Skyline legal in the states

So I came across a story that just came out, apparently a car dealership crossed the US/Canada border with a 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 at exactly 12 AM last night which means it was exactly 25 years old. Now that means that it doesn't have to abide by EPA, DOT, NHTSA or FMVSS. So the car is now 100% legal to drive in the US. I think it's pretty cool, I have always liked the Skyline since I watched the Fast and the Furious movies. Now that you can legally import any Skyline that is older than a 1989 it's going to be cool to see what starts showing up in the US. Here is the story if you guys want to read it, let me know what you guys think.

People have been importing skylines here for years. All they have to do is some minor improvements and its all good. Hopefully I can own one someday.

True, I think this is more about how this is the first one that is legal as it sits. Being that it is now 25 years old it does't have to go through any of those changes
