Default Firewall grommet for power cable.

Yes, I know, this is the wrong section to post this in, but I need this to be seen so I can maybe get some help by tomorrow. I need to run the power cable for my amp through the firewall but I am having trouble finding a grommet to run it through. I need any 5th gen owners who have run an amp to help me out here. Where did you run your power cable?

idk, matt, i dont have any aftermarket stereo, if only i had that other LS ive been chasing, lol. if you need it now you might be able to get away with runnng it around the fender & through the open aerea near the door hinge, then under the interior molding over the rocker panel, or into the dash? only if the wire is fairly small, the PO of my car "installed" a toggle for the electric fan under the dash & ran the wire around the door, and up under the hood... you cant even notice it inside the car, but scince your running a power wire, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE SURE IT DOESINT GET PINCHED, lol.

No I cant run it through the door opening. Its 4 gauge wire, a little too big for that. JJ, I think I know the grommet that you are talking about. The bad part is I dont know where it comes out under the dash. I may have better luck tomorrow seeing as how it was dark outside when I was looking today. The droplight just wasnt cutting it.

You have to pull back the carpet and remove the kick panel.

There's an opening behind the brake booster. It's just pretty hard to get to it.
