Default End Of The Line, New Beginings

Hey guys so its been a while since I've been able to do an update on here the past few months have been filled with stress and been very busy a lot going on in my life. As some of you may rmmbr space posting about the oshawa general motors plant that I work at would be closing the impala equinox line this year cuasing layoffs wage cuts etc. Well it finally hit me guys and next monday will be my last week as a GM employee. Its crazy to think I started so many years ago when the monte carlo 6th gen came to oshawa plant and just like when the monte carlo discontinued at gm so shall I. But its not all bad guys I really have been doing my best to stay postive, I've been struggling with depression for the past few years too so I am lookin at this as a new begining to my life I plan to go back to school they say you can never be too old right and finding a new career to motivate myself.

Obviosly car mods will be coming at a slower rate now guys haha but I will still be staying a active member with these forums thanks for listening to my story

Thanks for your update & it's great that you are working on staying positive & going back to school It's a great investment & a new begining for you..

To me everything is a state of mind & I believe that if you control your mind to stay positive (?) Good things in life will happen...If you let the negatives control ~> You Lose 4-Sure

That is something a lot of us know about now, unfortunately. Layoffs and closures. I'll leave the politics out of this. Because pointing fingers at who's to blame doesn't help to solve the problem you and many other workers are facing.

I know of someone locally who lost his job when the GM Trim plant closed here in Windsor years ago. Like many other areas, there are simply no other jobs to go to here. But this guy took a chance on something. He had an interest in the custom graphics you see on cars and motorcycles. So he got himself an airbrushing kit and learned the art of doing custom graphics. Eventually he became really good at it, and now has his own shop. Working out of the two car garage in his house, that he converted to his studio. He has done airbrushing on cars, motorcycles, and murals. But he really hit it when he got a deal with one of the hockey helmet manufacturers. He has done custom goalie helmets for professional and minor league goalies. Including many NHL goalies. He then expanded his business to include tattoos now too.

All that has become his main source of income now. Perhaps there is something in your life that you could possibly turn into a career of your own?
