Love the "art work"

Have you heard a flowmaster single inlet dual outlet.......I have a 03 silverado
with a 6.0 with that set up and I like it.....not to loud untill you "get after it"

dude, nice drawing-- i never knew what a crossover did
Thanks, back in the 70's we experimented a lot. We found that the 2 into 1 into 2 crossover systems actually added a alittle HP & torque on the Dyno.

you would think that having that extra pipe would reduce the hp, but i guess not, what about an x-pipe, wouldn't that be a little less resistant??

X-pipes have been experimented with. I'm not sure of the results, but I would venture a guess that the exhaust pulses cancel each other out instead of amplifying each other.

Let meemphasize againthat we are talking about a 2 into 1 into 2.

I don't know the dyno numbers on adding a cross over as I drew it from a Y connection.

i'm not 100% sure on how they actually work, but i know the guyz with the 50-70's hot rod's are doing x pipes right after the headers to gain horsepower but i'm not sure what it does for sound

Good to know. Sounds like the old-timers have finally figured out how to tune x-pipes.

If you like the sound, would dynamat in the cab help with the interior noise? I have not used it myself so I don't know.
just a thought
