Meanwhile (as I flip the conversation from black to white ), not long ago I pulled in to a corner convenience store and happened to see another white Monte parked there.
Not every day you get to park next to a near-twin:
So it's an LS, either a '98 or '99; I didn't know they could get the little "lump" spoiler, though. Kind of an interesting comparison there.
(Now if it happened to be another Brickyard 400 Pace Car Edition parked there, that would've been one heckuva surprise photo-op!)

Not to many around anymore. It appears you may have gotten your paint repaired on the side window area.
Thanks! I knew I'd buy a Redline in black all along... I had four boxes to check off... 2018 (didn't like the redesign), LTZ, Redline, black... Local dealership only ever had a white one. The silver and white ones just didn't look right with the black grille. It looked like you had an unpainted piece on the truck... On the black ones, it looks like it belongs there... I didn't need the extra horsepower, so I got the 5.3L. By the time I actually bought it, I couldn't find any 6.2L trucks, anyway...
Just a note , if you haven't signed up for the Chevy Truck Legends your missing out on some cool gifts. Today I received some coasters and a coffee mug. Earlier this year it was free tickets to our State Fair and some playing cards .

Okay check the photo contest voting that I have up in the General Monte Carlo talk.
We had a good amount of entries so I mad a voting pole for all of them and then we will have a Championship at the end of that.
You can Vote 2 times in this Pole, but you can't vote for the same item twice.
There are 7 total poles.
check the link for the first one. https://montecarloforum.com/forum/ge...2-times-61397/

Dean, I like how you're doing the voting to narrow down the entries
Today I got to do something interesting. My friend from Omaha invited me down to his place. There were going to be reporters there to do a story on his Car the White #3 car.
He asked me to bring along my Racing Uniform. When they arrived I was inside his collectables room. Standing like a Statue and he was showing them all his stuff and then I moved and they were surprised.
Anyway they plan to do a story on his car and all. Should be out in a couple of weeks.
While we were doing all this my friend who suffers from COPD had a spell and had to sit down for a bit. He never did get to finish his interview today. So I filled in for him. One question the guy asked was do you think you will ever forget about Dale Earnhardt? Answer... No, I see him in the mirror every morning when I shave. I wish I had a photo to share but I didn't get any yet. When I do I will add one here.

Good morning guys. Just two more days of 2019
We've been extremely mild lately with a lot of 50s - Christmas day made it up to 57 degrees and Dec 26 made it to 59. It was in the low 50s last night and now we're gradually cooling off. Looks like our mild stretch is done and we could see snow tomorrow morning, about 1".
I'm off work til Thursday. Last few days I've been unpacking and organizing my home office stuff in preparation for finally getting the room painted and set up. It's been 1.5 years since we moved, that's how you can tell it's been lower on the priorities list. That and our guest bath needs to be finished. Both winter projects for me.
