I've used NADA guides before for prices. Major dealers in my area all seem pretty fair and reasonable. Ive dealt with 2 different dealers 3 different times and have made fair deals every time. I never asked for a carfax when I bought my monte because I looked at the vehicle and I trusted my judgement. I did not see any signs of an accident or any major damage.

I think a lot of people that trade there car's in are so happy to get a new car they don't care if they take a loss on there old car. Some people don't know how to go about selling a car and just don't want to deal with it.

Man, seeing those pictures makes me think of all of the then brand-new 2005 and 2006 Montes on Chevy lots that had to be junked because of Katrina.. Not to mention the M-B$ in the 2nd picture..

I sure learn a lot on the MCF from member's experiences & their knowledge. It is a Buyer BeWare era & it does pay to do your homework & learn from others when investing your hard earned $ dollars on any purchase...
