i first saw this in an issue of hemmings muscle macheines, and thought it could make a cool off topic discussion. in the article, one of the editors detailed what vehicles he one day hoped to own, deciding them based on practicle usage / purpose.

SO.... with that in mind, i would like to see the MCF'ers list their dream vehicles based on the following catagories:

1) daily drivers ( ex. an '05 monte SS N/A, an '09 cobalt SS, ect...)

2) weekend crusers ( ex. a '71 monte SS, a dodge charger, a '69 camaro ect..)

3) workhorse / winter beaters ( ex. an '08 chevy 2500 duramax P/U, a '58 jeep pickup with a plow, a K-car, ect.)

4) GO FAST vehicles ( example: a '55 chevy gasser, a circle track 4th gen, ect. would typically not be street legal)

5) off road vehicles ( example: a '76 K5 blazer, a jeep, ect. could be street legal, but better for off road fun )

5) Other vehicles ( ex. an '01 yamaha raptor quad, a harly, a kawasaki ninja, a boat, a dirtbike, ect.)

try to keep it around 5 vehicles or less for each catagorie. otherwise you'll be here for a month

based on those catagories, what would you guys & gals choose?

 

i'll start off

1) daily drivers: a '99 MC Z34, an '09 cobalt SS, an '85 MC SS and a VW golf / rabit TDI... and an '06 monte LT3.

2) weekend crusers: my '65 buick, a '10 challenger R/T classic, my dad's '56 chevy, a '70 buick GSX and an '84 buick GNX

3) workhorse / winter beaters a '10 dodge ram 2500 cummins diesel 4x4 P/U, a '66 dodge D500 powerwagon 4x4 for plowing, a '91 S10 4x4 and an '83 caprice classic station wagon

4) GO FAST vehicles: a '71 monte built like the one in F&F, an '85 caprice classic sedan with a twin - turbo'd LT1, idk what else, lol.

5) off road vehicles: a '74 chevy 1500 shortbet 4x4 and an '84 sazuki samuri

5) Other vehicles: i would love a gator. end of story, lol.

 

1) daily drivers: '02 Monte Carlo Intimidator SS, '99 BMW M3 in Black with lime green interior, 2009 Camaro SS2 package in yellow or dark blue

2) weekend crusers: '72 Olds Cutlass Supreme, '71 Hemi Cuda

3) workhorse / winter beaters 2010 GMC 2500HD lifted with aggressive tires, brush guard, and line X

4) GO FAST vehicles: '71 Cuda, '70 Challenger, 2009 Corvette Z06 in burnt orange

5) off road vehicles: custom jacked up Furd Excursion with huge lift kit, and swampers

5) Other vehicles: Duece and a half, 1971 Monte Carlo, '69 Camaro RS, Acura TL, 1999 Eclipse GSX, M1A1 Abrams

 

I'll just take my '03 Monte Carlo as the daily driver. If I were going to have a drag strip car, street racer, I'd probably want to start with an '03 Cobra Mustang, for my weekend cruiser and show car, well, I'm working on that now with my '68 Ford Torino GT 390. For offroading, I'd take something like the original Blazer of the '80's with a 350, mild cam, huge tires, maybe a Bronco with a good 351.

Weekend : Trans Am.
Go Fast : Pontiac G8 GXP - does this count? lol
Work beater: I'd love a Magnum/Charger Srt8 lol.

1) daily drivers: 06-07 Monte Carlo LT/LTZ, 2010 Cobalt SS, 2010 Malibu LTZ, 2010 Impala LT/LTZ, 2010 Camaro LT/ RS, 2010 Cadillac CTS.

2) weekend crusers: 68 or 69 Camaro

3) workhorse / winter beaters: Chevy Silverado (newer one, with largest gasoline V8)

4) GO FAST vehicles: Corvette ZR1 (i'd take anything from base to ZR1 ), 06/07 Monte Carlo SS, 2010 Camaro SS/ RS.

5) off road vehicles: IDK? Some Chevy 4x4. Probably like a Tahoe 4x4.

6) Other vehicles: Do Jet ski's count!?

 

1) daily drivers ( 04/05 SC Monte, '98/99 Z34 Monte)

2) weekend crusers ( '57 Chevy, '57 Chevy, '57 Chevy, and maybe a '57 Chevy)

3) workhorse/winter beaters (Ram Extended Cab)

4) GO FAST vehicles (Pontiac G8, Dodge Viper)

5) off road vehicles (Dodge Power Wagon-any year)

6) Other vehicles (4th gen SS Monte, 1st gen big block Monte, Big Block Chevelle, Camaro, or Impala)
