Chevy Impala SS With Cadillac CT6 X Camaro ZL1 Cues

I think it'll be interesting to see what the future holds- Id love to see the manufacturers pivot from 60s/70s nostalgia to something newer.
As you mentioned, people that were kids back then can afford it now which fuels the trend. But now we're getting to the point where people who were teenagers in the 60s are getting too old to drive at all, much less be buying sporty cars. Hopefully that'll fuel a trend to shift the retro cars to something newer. The hard part is the giant gap in the 70s-80s of awful cars that need to be skipped over, which may be the reason for waiting to shift to retro redos of newer stuff.

The 70's did produce some good looking cars (like the Monte Carlo), but some of the other mainstays like the Camaro, Firebird and the Mustang met with some disappointment from enthusiasts during part (not all) of the 70's.
A retro 3rd gen Camaro would definitely have my attention. I saw some Camaro fans that sketched ideas for it and it could be done. But I fear the world's want to go EV could destroy hopes of seeing something new from the Camaro product line. Time will tell.

For sure. If nothing else, it at least seems likely that EVs will consume the vast majority of R&D funding over the next decade or so. Itll certainly limit the OEMs ability to innovate in other areas like this.
