You mean like this ???????????

It's a nice looking Camaro and the guy has, added some things.

The Rousch Mustang on the right got best paint at an earlier show.
It's a pretty car but there were home built hot rods that had some really
nice paint jobs. It just comes down to who is judging that day and Who
they know . Not fair !

I forgot I used to have problems getting my '86 Monte in to some shows. Too new to be there.

The two photos posted I see both have the new cars right next to a '57 Chevy. In both photos. I hope they didn't judge the '57 against the new cars?

In 2009 we took the Pace car and LTZ Montes to a cruise. Other people complained about them being there. And the only people who got awards, were those who were friends with the people who put the cruise together.

I still have my trophy from Monte Madness '04. Shame how that politics all panned out the years after. It was truly a fun time. I got to put a lot of names to faces and had a blast.

I haven't really been to a car show since for some reason. I think it's mostly because I'm not done with the car or it's not where I want it to be. I mean I've browsed through other shows but never entered. I'd like to attend something but being west coast now Monte Madness is out of the question.

Around here all the shows and cruise-ins have like 10-20 fox body and newer Mustangs show up. I figure if they're allowed so am I. I'm always the only Daytona and this year I'll be the only 6th gen Monte. I see a lot of 80's SS's though. I probably wouldn't take the Monte to a show or cruise-in if it wasn't a Pace Car or NASCAR driver edition. If it was a regular LS or SS I'd show it after I modded it.

I hear ya about MiS that was a great show....it was tough for me, 10 hour drive alone was killer, but well worth the trip, glad I made it before it stopped happening...I wish it was still on,not so much for me, but for an added event for the midwest people.

I hear ya about MM being canceled, great show for sure, but luckily us east coast people have a variety of options that others don't get.

Lisa Most definitely will be meeting up this year fer sure!

Mini meets are awesome, no pressure about judging just show up car can be clean or dirty, put names to faces, trade some stories and experiences...hopefully a camera person is on hand to take pics...and most are held at eateries so good food to! I go to a few of these, some get 4 people, some get 20 or more, but always a good time!

I hope I get to see your Monte Joe. Def want to take pics! So funny there are alot of us with black 6th gen here on east coast. If I do sell it, there are still some places I want to take it first and things I want to do to it. Def need camera. Would be nice if I won something with it this year. That would be cool too. Maybe in April we could start a thread for setting up mini meets/shows to meet at here on east coast for forum members to meet up and do a group ride.
