It's something that I noticed when I drive Jenna's Impala. You figure, instead of the throttle being hooked up to a cable that opens the TB, you now have a sensor on the pedal, which tells the PCM how far down your foot is, then your PCM thinks hmm... is this a good idea to give them that? Then it gives you the throttle position that you want, or it thinks you want.

Down side is now I am driving a POS Impalla that I don't fit in. Seriously could those doors be any smaller?

The newer impalas are actually really big on the inside. i have driven in one quite comfortabally, now the doors are a tad bit small, but i am only 5'11 so....sorry to hear about the Monte, hope it all gets fixed

I had the same feeling griz:
When i had some warranty work done a cpl months ago, They also gave me an impala (2012).

As an above knee amputee, I also had difficulty entering and exiting...Once I was in it I was fine....
So, ...
Who did they actually design the Impala for? (body type)

Makes you wonder???

Yea the Impala LT i am diving sucks. Good news is that i am getting my car back tomorrow. I think they designed the impalla for 5'10" and under skinny guys. Cus it has clown doors. I hope GM surfs the forums cus they need to fix their ****. I love my GM and have driven them my whole life but whats out now and has been coming out for awhile is all garbage.

I think they're designed for soccer moms.

I have a problem with 4 doors now too. Getting in and out of my dad's Buick Century is a pain. And I'm only 6 foot.

The Impala is coming out with a redesign anyway. So hopefully the new Impala is an easier fit, and drives better.
