Default car dealer offered me 7k for my monte.....

was thinking about trading it in on a 2012 Shelby gt500 he said my car is only worth between 7 and 10k. it just turned 35 thousand miles and is babied and cleaner than the day I bought it. I told him sorry pal ya aint making 8 grand off my car! why is it everytime ya talk to a car dealer you are pissed off at the world for the rest of that day?

If you are serious, sell it outright - if it was a Ford dealership they aren't going to give you anything for your Monte.

Hi `Joey, most of our member's think that also (LOL)
Trying to trade a Super Super Monte for a FURD >

I've learned car dealers just play with numbers #'s (they are in business to make money)...My grandfather taught me to go to dealers that have low overhead & have more room to work when dealing...

I just know & have learned that I don't want a car to own me, and I want to own my ride...I have met to many that have a super ride, but don't have enough money to repair/mod/have fun etc....or even money for gas to drive their new or newer `ride...

Hopefully we learn as we travel this journey called life...I've learned a lot also from many MCF Member's...
Wish you good luck on whatever U decide

You're Welcome `Joey
I've also met, or read about to many that have purchased what they thought was their dream ride to later find `out it was not as good as their first excitement of getting it...Now they are stuck with that $ 900 dollar a month payment for the rest of their life

And then they try to trade it in a few months later & the dealer offers then $20K less then what they purchased it for

I've learned it pays to really do your homework when buying anything...>especially a vehicle That's why I love car shows also & that is to find people that own/drive a car that I desire & ask then a tons of questions about their car > the good & the bad....Plus there's the web that has so much information on just about anything you desire....Good Luck on your choice(s)...I'm sure that you will have many nice rides in your human life time 4-Sure

What year car and where are you located?

If close enough I may be interested. Since I've been searching for a DD to replace my 1994 Dodge Shadow ES.
