Calling Chicagoland/Midwest People: NEW Gatherings
Last month, "ought to" became "we will" and "we did"...as 65 people from 15 different message boards gathered in Elgin IL on Saturday, July 26. Along with another restaurant asking when we would get together again, several people have suggested we do this "more often".
With that in mind, how does SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2008 sound?
Sometime in the next few weeks, I will contact that other restaurant in South Elgin (along Randall Rd) and see what the owner has in mind.
ALSO:
Some suggested making the summer gathering an ANNUAL event.
Sssooo ... SAVE THE DATE of Saturday, July 25, 2009!
If enough people want to stay overnight this time around, I will get a block of rooms at a local hotel. Then, Sunday, we can check out the Sycamore IL car show.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?

sadly my funding fell short of a level i wanted to attend last month's gathering and i had to work just to fuel my car for around town... by october i should have all of my law school apps filled out and mailed in so i may be down for a road trip to relax... plus, depending on how the AL Central pans out, my Twins may be in Chicago then so i could count that as part of the trip! (maybe get passengers to split the cost of fuel?) i will give you an "interested maybe" for now and update when i get more figured out...

September 27 ... NMCOA "Mini Meet" at Stillman Valley IL
October 4 ... MidWest MC Meet in St Louis MO
Others??
AND ... is anyone [else] interested in either of these multi-group/board gatherings in the Elgin IL area...?
Possible gathering yet THIS year ... OCTOBER 18 (or 25)
