RE: Bought a new toy...
nice project!
i think that everyone should have a project of some sort. whether its a car, bike, house, or smaller things like rc cars, boats.
painting it like your monte would be cool.
or you could paint ur monte to look like the bike!

SUZUKI KATANA 600, 1992+
It was only in the first couple of years of production that the Katana made any illusions about being a competitive 600 class contender. After that, it became a bargain, entry-level sport bike, capable of day to day duties, touring etc. Suzuki have sold over 50,000 Katana's over the years, which is testament to its all around appeal. The engine proved to be bulletproof, (kinda like the Chevy 3.8L in a Monte Carlo : )probably thanks to it being based on the original GSXR750 air/oil cooled unit. In 1998 the Katana received a much needed make-over, getting new, wider wheels, and fresh bodywork, ensuring its continued existence in Suzuki's line-up for years to come.
Power in 1998 was 68.8bhp, with torque of 37.4ft/lb's. wet weight was 507lb's.[:-]http://www.mcreports.com/Pages/Indivbikes/Suzuki/Katana-600-92+.html

RE: Bought a new toy...
You need to becareful riding a bike (or bicycle) out there. Other motorists can and do, do some stupid things every now & then. (me included)
When I was 19 I worked at a local motorcycle shop during the summer. One day a rather large bike got away from me while I was putting it away for the day and fell over. A rather embarressing situation for me since I moved 40 used bikes out every morning and then the same 40 used bikes back in every evening.
