Question Best New Car Warranty ?
I wish the US automakers had
longer new car Warranties.
I think if they did or believed in their product(s)
that they should match the competitions warranties.
I believe that it would increase Sales in the USA & oversea's

So, who's the top dog with the best new car warranty? Let's take a look...
We'll start with my top 7 picks and then we'll take a look at the complete bumper to bumper new car warranties comparison of all the major manufacturers and what new car warranties they offer.

Top 7 picks for
best new car warranty are the:



  1. Lexus Warranty

    • 4yr/50k mile bumper to bumper.
    • 6yr/70k mile powertrain coverage.
    Solid factory warranty coverage offered by Lexus.


  2. (T3) Cadillac Warranty

    • 4yr/50k mile bumper to bumper.
    • 5yr/100k mile powertrain coverage.

New Car Warranties Winner
The Infiniti warranty is not the longest coverage available, but it seemed to be the best new car warranty after taking all factors into consideration.

Statistically speaking most people won't keep a new car for longer than 4 years and will not drive more than the 60,000 miles, so their coverage should be plenty for most new car buyers.

Actually, that's no longer the case. That used to be true, but with the high price of new cars these days, most people are holding on to their cars longer than 4 years now. I saw a story about this on the tv news recently; if I can find it I'll post a link to it.

A recent poll by Gas Buddy.com asked members what the highest mileage was of any car they've owned before they sold it. The largest percentage, 51%, replied that they had between 100,000 - 200,000 miles on the car before they sold it. 28% said they had between 200,000 - 400,000 miles on their highest mileage car before selling it!

Hi Mark, thanks for the correction & update...I know the information I posted is for 2009, but I understand with our poor economic conditions that people are forced to keep their cars (vehicles) longer...

But, I am sure that when they get ready to purchase a new vehicle that the factory warranty will be a major factor in their decision... Atleast it will be for me : )
