I have a tomtom XLS one and it's GREAT. Nice wide 4 inch screen. Didn't even know it was in my car (you know i've been looking for it for MONTHS) until zack sat on it in the back seat... Now this boy is 6'3 and weighs at LEAST 250 pounds... and it DID NOT BREAK.

I accidentally sat on my dad's garmin (I'm 5'8 and weigh about 240) and it broke. Tom tom's are definately made well, and mine has the lane assist, with POI (points of interest) functions, it also updates to tell me where gas stations are, the only bad thing about it is IT'S NOT VOICE ACTIVATED so I can't tell it to calculate the route to that gas station if I'm driving on a highway, but usually once you get off an exit it's either a right or left hand turn. Unless you're down in southpointe, the only thing down there is a rockin *** chinese restaraunt and the hilton garden inn.

But don't ask me how I know....

I have an old Garmin C340 and wouldn't do without a GPS. It may not give you the best directions (as the locals travel) but it will get you there. Been debating getting a new nuvi but as long as my Street Pilot is working why spend the money?
