Debit is free as well, credit unions are nice but they dont have what im looking for. I dont think they charge for money transfers either.

Mine is a bank just a really small bank. Savings account had massive interest compared to big chains too. Glad you found a bank you like the money transfer fee is not something usually talked about. My bank at college charged $25 for outgoing and $15 for incoming transfers. So every-time I would pay a bill via transfer it would have been 25 bucks if I didn't use my bank at home still.

I have two accounts. The first is the Chase bank and it is my main account. My second account is with the Partners Federal Credit Union. It is Disney's credit union. I have my car loan there and a personal loan. The credit union has too many restrictions on how many transactions you can perform each month. This is the reason Chase is my main account. The credit union is more human. You can talk to the officers there and they listen. Chase is a large corporation that has corporate rules that are not flexible.

Kinda glad I did not see Key Bank as an option. They were my former employer that has been on an out-sourcing binge (mostly to India), hence why I am no longer employed with them (though I did work for the company they outsourced my job to for about 6 months until I found a better gig).

Best of luck on your banking quest.

Out sourcing, blech.... I applied at M&T bank earlier in the week. Stopped in the local branch to try and further my application but i just have to wait while my ID is verified. But the people there were nice and friendly. And M&T just installed atm's in the gas station i always use. Awesome

Wow apply for a bank wtf is that? I walked in said here's my license and $100 bucks need a checking account. They even gave me temp checks until debit card and real checks arrived. Seriously you had to apply for a bank? Even the crappy bank I had in college didn't make me apply. Is that a state thing?
