Yea, thats a big thing im focusing on is what kind of fees places charge. Looking at chase today, they have a decent rewards program but you have to meet certain criteria to avoid monthy fees.

I currently use chase mainly because they have a free student checking account program with the savings account and free online checking.

Oh yeah online banking is a nice feature. I love having that too. It makes it nice when you want to check your balance or make a transfer. I think by now everyone should offer this but i would check into it just to be what services are offered online.

benefits = you will pay for something. Find a free bank like I have or a credit union. because when everything's free its like having a benefits package.

Thats exactly what im doing, applied today for a checking and savings account. Both no minimum balances, no maintenance fees and there is a reward package.

Check to see if they charge for using your debit some banks have that in fine print. also see if there are fees for money transfers. I pay wells fargo for my car via money transfer so glad there are no charges on that.
