Thank you Chris. I am so sorry about your loss.
Thanks RJ, I do remember your post about your sister, so glad your family is well. I'll forward your words/thoughts on to Jeff.

Just today all 4 of us had lunch together. Something that hasn't happened in quite some time since my middle sister lives in N. Mexico.

Please tell your brother in law support from family & friends in times like this ARE very important to healing and getting well.

i wish him the best of luck...do you know what type of amyloidosis your brother has? for those of you who havent researched the disease amyloidosis is basically the body depositing mass-produced amyloid family protein cells somewhere in the body. It can be virtually harmless depending on where the protein is deposited or can cause a multitude of problems if the cells are deposited in a major organ. The cancer (cancer means nothing more than abnormal cell growth) can be localized to a certain tissue or other type of cell depending on what protein is rapidly going through mitosis(cell reproduction). This rapid cell growth can often cause organs to fail and is why the disease is considered fatal. Basic treatment involves chemotherapy and if possible a biopsy to remove the growth on an organ. If caught early, chemotherapy has a good track record of minimizing the growth and if the growth is shrunk enough, it can be completely removed. my prayers are with him

Hey Jeremy thank you. They are saying the amiliods are attacking his autonomic nervous system and not any major organs.

Yeah tell me about it. This is so messed up. Seems like time is crawling 'til he starts his treatment program. On behalf of Jeff and my sis, they will be forever grateful for all the care and support everyone has shown here at MCF.

Hey RJ ***CLINK*** my beer glass too!
