My wife LadyT has been bugging me about doing the Hot Rod Power Tour in '09, as she has seen the window stickers on many cars in car shows, and asked what it was about. She wants to do the power tour in her '07 Pontiac Solstice GXP "Lucy", her Agressive Red, 2,800 pound, 350 hp roadster from the General (hoping to be over 420hp by then).

I just got Decembers issue of Hot Rod Magazine today, and it give the dates and some of the locations of the '09 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour (2 TBAs yet).

My question is how many of the other MCF brothers and sisters have been on or are planning on going on the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour June5-13, 2009? Seems it is going just a few miles from our house, as it starts in Madicine WI, then to Racine, WI, to Warren, MI's GM Tech' Center, Somerset KY, then ends at Bristol, TN, at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Ya can't get fro WI to Warren without driving east on I-94, and we're just a few miles south.

If we do the Power Tour, we will probably do the Long Haul, and start in WI. We're thinking seriously about this, as long as it doesn't interfere with the "Tail of the Dragon" run next summer with the Kappa Car group.

Any Monte's going on the Power Tour?

 

dude that sounds like fun. i am willing to but next summer is still along time away. i have no idea were ill be. if im still around ill do both wisconsins. as i can then stay there for a bit

Wonder if they'll be headed down I-75 past Dayton, OH?
