It's way out of my price range & I was surprised to see the latest HP increase
While the factory 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 produces plenty of power — 662 hp from its supercharged 5.8-liter V-8 engine — that hasn’t stopped Shelby American from offering an upgrade. Buyers can choose to add a new Whipple or Kenne Bell supercharger, along with upgraded radiators and cooling components, that bumps power to 850 hp.Despite the prodigious output, Shelby American assures buyers that the car is street legal and will run on normal gasoline.
The packages cost $28,995 for the 662-hp version, and $39,995 for the 850-hp version. Of course, those numbers are in addition to the sticker price of a new 2013 Shelby GT500. The coupe costs $54,995 (after destination), and the convertible will set you back $59,995.
