April 2018 Photo Contes " Shade Tree Monte Carlo"
There sits the Bud Chev on sands of Daytona Beach in February 2010. I guess it's not really under the trees, and since it's over cast, there isn't really any shade going on either. But the shot is still very tree-ish, shot from the balcony of my hotel (No, I'm not really Dale Jr, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express that night). It was a lot colder than Canadians expect Florida to be that day. So cold in fact, that the race track froze and began disintegrating during the Great American Race. Twas the year of the pothole
I remember the pothole 500... amusing race for sure. Almost like if they raced on the streets of Michigan... that's what we deal with on a daily basis, especially this time of year

I will have an entry for this one before the deadline.
I always find it hilarious when driving south on I-75... Ideally, should be done with a truck. Even in a truck it's vibrating and banging and it seems to take forever to get through MI. Head's hurting. Then you hit the bridge and into Ohio.... smooth as glass! They know too and make sure the transition is so obvious.
And if the highway is that bad, yeah, I can imagine the actual streets

I-75 is probably the worst 'highway' from what I know... 3 years ago there was a pothole on a I-75 bridge that you could see through. And yeah there's some streets that are really bad. Here's a couple videos (from Feb this year) of Mound Rd (Warren, MI) which is one of the particularly bad spots. Good times. This is what we deal with in the spring, on a yearly basis, and it never gets any better.
