Good Friday morning everyone!

We had a 3.6 mag earthquake last night at 8 pm centered just across the Detroit River in Amherstburg, Ontario. I didn't feel anything, although the wife and I were scrambling cleaning the house, but a lot of people in the area felt and/or heard it.

There's a LOT more than what I just showed above but what's above is...

Pics 1-4 - City Modern Development - New construction and renovation of existing homes in Brush Park, will add roughly 400 new residences
Pic 5 - Shinola Hotel - New construction within existing renovated buildings
Pic 6 - Metropolitan Building - Renovation will transform it into a new hotel
Pic 7 - 28 Grand - New construction, 13 stories with roughly 220 apartments
Pic 9 - Baltimore Station - New construction on existing renovated storefronts, will include 10,000 sf of retail and loft apartments
Pic 11 - City Club Apartments - New construction on the old Statler Hotel site, will be around 8 stories with roughly 290 apartments

Yes, at least the first 4 images were within the past couple weeks. We've had some weird weather this spring and have still had a little snow even up til earlier this week.

Yes, finally a nice sunny spring day coincided with a day off for me.
Went outside to the Monte and replaced its hood support struts, since the one on the driver's side had lost its gas charge over the winter. It's as easy as switching out wipers!

Not that I do a whole lot of underhood work, but yeah -- I think it's nicer to have struts instead of a prop rod for the hood.

Good morning guys, made it up to 72 degrees yesterday! The wife and I sat out on the deck for a while with the pets after work, great evening.

I just saw this story. 1-3am this morning, along I-696 here in Metro Detroit, a man was considering suicide by jumping off the Coolidge overpass. Michigan State Police and local police agents closed both directions of freeway and waved 13 semi trucks to line up under the overpass to prevent the man's attempt, which worked as they talked him down. Here's what that looked like...
