Anyone believe in Ghosts or Paranormal activities?
I suppose I could share a couple of my stories...
Both are places that my girlfriends family owns and I have been in both.
The first one was in the Spaulding House, it's an old Antique shop, more info can be read in the link here:
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...,d.aWc&cad=rja
I used to work here just to keep the land up to date with mowing and trimming and such and would go inside from time to time just to keep it clean and make sure there wasn't anyone homeless that found their way in.
Every time I was there I felt like I was being watched from a specific window, it was a small window up in the corner of the house (which I later found out is part of the 'Christmas Room'). I would always look up and of course there was nothing there, just an empty window, so I always kind of assumed that I was just imagining things and carried on with my day.
The one time that I started to believe a little more was when I went in to clean stuff up for the first time. I walked in downstairs with no issues and not even knowing the history of the house. About an hour in I started to smell cigars, I just kind of ignored it and finished working on the downstairs and I went upstairs where the smell was probably twice as strong. About 20 minutes later the smell just went away abruptly... it was really weird.
Those were my only 2 instances at that house.
The other instances are at the bay house in Sturgeon Bay... where I found out last year that the previous owner had died in the house.
I had always kind of felt something eerie about the basement, but just ignored it because I was never really a believer. The second year I was in the house though, I started feeling like something was chasing me up the stairs every time I went upstairs. Never felt anything physical, just had the odd feeling.
Finally, 2 weekends ago I was there just Jess and I and we were about to go upstairs to watch a movie so we shut all the doors in the basement because the windows were open and the doors like to slam. Well, about a half hour through the movie we both heard a very distinct slam in the basement. So I went down there, looked around and everything was just the way we left it, I made sure all doors were shut and the doors leading to outside were locked and went back to watch the movie.
When the movie was over we both went downstairs to go to bed and Jessica's bedroom door was wide open. I know for a fact that I was the last one down there (we were the only 2 in the house) and that all doors were shut/locked.
I never really believed before that point, now it has me questioning whether or not ghosts are real.

I actually took some time off from work and went into the Ashely National forest on a camping / trekking jaunt. Probably the only time I will go out this year. It was not a marathon ordeal this time plus good boots and hi-tech socks (Wrightsock) and I came out with my feet in great shape compared to my past extended hikes. We did day hikes out of a base camp, just explored old sites or least ways tried to find some long forgotton ones of a couple old maps. Glad to be back, and I can hardly contain myself waiting for my Monte to be returned to me. I will take it to a car show this weekend in Ogden, it's a Wounded Warrior benefit event. Going to give a few of them a spin in the Monte and see if I can get them all pumped up for the day.

Hi Spacerman, thanks it's good to be back in civilization. You have water on tap and beds here. Wow this thread has really taken off from when I last read it. Interesting to see other members views and actual experiences concerning paranormal activities. All of them gives one pause to reflect and imagine yourself in that situation, and how you would react to it. CreepShow is all I can say about it. heading out to work so can't get into long stories, but there are a couple. Went last night with Marie to the theater and we watched the freaky scary movie "The Conjouring" wow, and now this morning I find this topic is still breathing. If you have not seen it you really need to, will make you sleep with your light on and hope your not awake at 3:00 in the morning. The witching hour when Christ is said to have died and evil walked the earth unopposed.

Good Morning `Greg,
Yes, I find your thread very interesting & I've enjoyed reading what member's have posted... Words do paint a picture of ones life & of themselves...& their belief's....WoW
There are so many mysteries in life, and so many have been written by man with their views & interpretations of these unknown's... Are they right or wrong ? That's for each to decide > I keep a open mind on subjects like this...
It's great that we all have choices & free will to each decide for ourselves.. Sadly, I believe that `Evil is still walking the `Earth (24/7) & are doing harm to all that they can influence & brainwash with their evil acts & words...
Wish you a easy work day & we all will be looking forward to your return & hopefully a thread on your latest adventure...You `do have a lot going on in your life 4-Sure....No time to get bored
Peace/Love/Happiness to you & `all from `Space
