I think at one time or another we've all been thru that at least once
. You guys & girls know that you only have to put the oil filter on hand tight RIGHT ? Doesn't have to be torqued on. Just a firm twist and your go to go. I've had one do that one my Chevelle one time. Took me about 4 hrs to get it off. All my oil filter wrenchs wouldn't move it. I had to go buy one with a rubber strap to go around it. Then one foot on the frame of the car and pull till I was blue in the face. And it was only on 3 months before that.
After putting on the new one. I went and had lunch and a cold beer or 3. Then had the idea of checking it to make sure it was OK. It was
. I get to change my oil on both cars this month. That should be a JOY
. Jenny glad you got it off. Even thou it was a pain

I work with some people who do the same thing. Use the shop tools and say they left them on the bench. Guess they meant the bench in their locker.

I always put a hole in the bottom to drain the oil out of it before I take it off. I have a pliers type wrench, works great. I may switch to the jaw type now tho you guys talked me into it and it may make a few other cars I do easier.
