5 Years of MCF.com and Me
I did NOT edit the above quote from Tyler... He's really showing how he feels!
I can't match that enthusiasm, but you have been an amazing friend to me. I'm glad I poached you from that other forum and brought you where you belong
Thanks for everything man!

Jason:
Congrats on your 5 yrs!!
I am certainly one that's very greatful to have you here.
You've certainly helped me out in more ways than I thought possible.
Your info/abilities have been invaluable and I cant thank you enough!
I also consider you a good friend ... Having met and hung out together on numerious occasions has always been a pleasure and I look forward to the next time!
I appreciate the casual mention...
But I too like you...
Look at the MCF as my 2nd home...
I came here looking for help/info...
I found a family friendly forum that was actually here for me...
Upon being asked to become a moderator.. (I was totally shocked)Thanks Lou!
and the MCF Admins and staff..
Really made me feel a part of something special.. (The MCF.)
Being a part of something greater than myself is something I had always wanted to be a part of.
The satisfaction of helping someone else out from the info I have gathered/learned here over the years. Gives you some satisfaction in knowing that you helped someone... Just like the MCF did for me...
I guess its kinda like "Paying it forward"... As I have always said:
You cant keep what you have until you give it away.
Thanks Jason for your Service/Help/Info and Friendship!
I wish you many more years of MCF Satisfaction.!
Thanks again,
your friend..
David

Next time, maybe a private message first

When I was deciding my future as admin here, I saw the enthusiasm you had. And all the exciting ideas for the future of the forum.
...
I knew you were the right choice for this job. Your acceptance of the administrator job made me feel better about stepping down. I knew with you and Mike, MCF is in good hands.

I honestly never thought I'd be asked to be a moderator on a Internet forum, much less an admin. But so far it's been a fun gig and I credit that to a great staff and members who really share in what we do here.
Thanks

We'd love to see you make it 5 or more years!! Keep hanging on!!
It's strange seeing how things played out. A not-so-secret I've posted before is if I knew I was going to make my Monte a "summer only" car, I probably would have shopped for a GTO (aka re-badged Holden Monaro). I love those cars but I wanted nothing to do with RWD in our winters here. Despite that, I could not imagine giving up my Monte and switching to a GTO. My Monte has a lot of great memories and fun mods I've done with my own two hands. Not to mention, the massive amount of friends I've gained because of it. I'm sure I could have said the same about a GTO, but it's hard to see it having lived "the Monte life" lol.
Jason, having members on the forum like you really do make this a good place to pull up a chair, sip a cup of coffee and relax for a few minutes. Congrats on being here for 5 years and also a hearty thank you for taking on a key role in the hierarchy. This place would not be the same without you.
Each online arena has it's place. But I feel "old school" forums like this are easier to retain, find and re-use great information. Just look at the Tech Guides sections! This is all member generated "how to" stuff and some of it, you may not find anywhere else these days.

I knew a lot about turning wrenches, but you helped educate me on some of the common 3800 mods (links, resources, tons of material). You have inspired me or sometimes gave me a nudge over the edge to do some cool stuff over the years (and sometimes my ambitious projects lead to interesting info for you in return based on the results). Granted, that nudge is not saying much when you're standing on your tiptoes on the edge of a cliff lol

If we lived closer together, somehow we would probably be a dangerous team!
I owe you an equal amount of thanks over these years buddy!
Right now, I feel you don't know what you have until it's lost and for what feels like forever, we are missing are beloved friend Space. It's tough for me to think about what to write at the moment other then Space is a terrific friend to everyone, I have no doubt based on our conversations that Space leaves in imprint with people "offline" 2x, 3x bigger then he leaves with us "online". It will be a day to be celebrated when Space can come back to MCF.com and reconnect with us. I'm certain, when he does BBMike, he will be happy/proud and delighted with your efforts in continuing what he does on a daily basis while he was gone.
Please make sure, he knows he has friends and family everywhere, anxious for his return to living life. Each day is a gift!!
